Turbine Engine

This introductory module is a prerequisite for pilots qualified on helicopters with piston engines who seek qualification on turbine engine-powered rotorcraft. As an addition to the initial type rating course, it provides the required knowledge on normal/emergency turbine operations and governing.

Multi-Engine

This three-day course is a prerequisite for pilots qualified on single-engine helicopters who seek qualification on a multi-engine rotorcraft. It focuses on normal/emergency procedures, system and regulation, flight planning and operational procedures/performance.

Multi Crew Cooperation

This one-week course is a prerequisite for pilots qualified for single-pilot operations who seek qualification in multi-pilot configurations. The course covers human factors, crew resources management, decision-making and interactions with the pilot-in-command.

Night Vision Goggles

This course is a pre-requisite for advanced night vision goggle courses. At the end of this course, the pilot will be able to take-off, land and fly by day with NVG flight profiles; fly at very low altitude, as well as understand the methodology for off-airfield landing and IIMC risk management.

Technical English

This one-week immersion course provides a special focus on technical vocabulary in preparation for a type rating certification in the English language. The class is recommended for pilots who scored 30-45% on their online English self-assessment.

Initial Type Rating

This course provides the initial type rating on single- engine turbine, multi-engine turbine, single-pilot or multi-pilot helicopters.

Additional Type Rating

This course provides an additional type rating within the same category: single-engine turbine, multi-engine turbine, single-pilot or multi-pilot helicopters.

Difference Type Rating

This course allows pilots to acquire an additional type rating on another aircraft of the same family for which they already are qualified.

Type Rating Renewal

This course maintains or renews proficiency if a class or type rating has expired, and is based on individual needs depending on various factors.

Type Rating for Instructors or Examiners

This course provides instruction for customers’ type rating instructors (TRI) and examiners (TRE) in order to apply Airbus standards in closer proximity to flight operations.

Type Rating Instructor or Examiner Refresher Seminar

This seminar’s goal is to keep type rating instructors and examiners up-to-date and proficient with the latest standards.

Oil & Gas

This complementary module provides proficiency in flight profiles specific to offshore missions. At the end of it, the pilot will be able to operate mission systems and handle normal and emergency situations related to the applicable flight profiles.

Search & Rescue

This complementary module provides proficiency in flight profiles specific to search and rescue missions. At the end of this course, the pilot will be able to operate mission systems and handle normal and emergency situations.

Emergency Medical Services

This complementary module provides proficiency in flight profiles specific to emergency medical services. At the end of this course, the pilot will be able to operate mission systems and handle normal/emergency situations.

Private/Business Aviation

This complementary module provides proficiency in the management of VIP equipment and configurations. At the end of this course, the pilot will be capable of handling normal and emergency situations related to the applicable flight profiles.

Initial Night Vision Goggles

This course is dedicated to operations with night vision goggles (NVG). This course provides the proficiency to fly with NVG in familiar terrain and to deal with normal and emergency situations in a multi- pilot configuration. The one-day pre-entry level NVG course is a pre-requisite for this course.

Advanced Night Vision Goggles

This course provides proficiency for operation in unfamiliar terrain. At the end of this course, the pilot will be capable of flying everywhere with night vision goggles, to deal with normal and emergency situations, and acquire minimum skills to safely continue training in the operational environment.

Night Vision Goggles Refresher

This refresher course aims at keeping pilots’ proficiency with night vision goggles at the highest levels and to the latest standards.

Urban Night Flight and Emergencies

This course provides theoretical knowledge on the human visual system, its anatomy, the night vision, mesopic visual limitations and night visual illusions. Flight training includes basic manoeuvres, emergency procedures, IIMC penetration, unusual attitude recovery and spatial disorientation.

Mountain Flying

The content and level of this course is personalised according to the pilot’s experience. At the end of this course, the pilot will be able to understand the operational environment and adapt the trajectory, as well as safely continue training in the normal operational environment.

Firefighting

The firefighting course focuses on fire behaviour, piloting techniques and mission equipment. It includes a ground course, a long briefing and a flight session. To join the course, the pilot needs to complete the external load course and Helicopter Underwater Escape Training.

Maintenance Check Flights

This course is designed to give proficiency on maintenance check flights as required by Section 8 of the flight manual, focusing on normal/emergency situations, parameter check performances and piloting techniques. It includes one day of theory, and a flight or simulator session.

Cat A Performance Class 1

Upon completion of this course, the pilot will be qualified to perform take-off, landing and cruise flight operations with regards to performance Class 1 operations. The course includes one day of theory and a flight session.

Tactical Flight Observer Emergency Recovery

This course provides basic ground instruction, simulator instruction, and flight instruction for what a non-rated pilot would be required to do in assuming the flight duties of an incapacitated pilot. The course is composed of a two-day theoretical session, a simulator session and a flight session.

Emergency

This course provides the pilot with the knowledge and proficiency required to perform emergency procedures. At the end of this course, the pilot will be able to land safely despite a failure scenario.
