H215M
Derived from Airbus’ mission-proven Super Puma/Cougar family, the H215M is characterised by a proven and robust design with a modern cockpit and autopilot inherited from the reference in the field: the H225. The H215M offers excellent versatility, payload lift performance, cost efficiency and a demonstrated ability to operate in the world’s harshest environments.
The H215M is equipped with the H225’s four-axis dual-duplex digital autopilot.
Simple to operate through an intuitive glass cockpit that is compatible with night vision goggles, it includes a “first limit indicator” that provides a real-time power margin display and is highly appreciated by pilots. The H215M provides unique autopilot assistance: precision, stability, and flight envelope protection for optimised crew workload; and situational awareness resulting in better mission efficiency and safety, even in the harshest operating conditions.
Thanks to its versatility, size, reliability, and rate of availability, the H215M is perfectly suited for all utility missions in extreme environments and on the battlefield.
The H215M has been selected by customers around the world for its cost efficiency, long-range capabilities, and outstanding performance in high and hot environments.
Outfitted with the appropriate equipment, the H215M is ideal for a wide range of missions, including:
Airbus’ H215M is mission-ready – at home in hot temperatures and at high altitudes. The rotorcraft’s discretion, low vulnerability, survivability and ability to fly in icing conditions ensure maximum operability – even in the most challenging situations.

It accommodates a variety of armaments and protection, and serves as a hefty transporter – able to lift 4.5 tonnes on a sling.
With a long cabin and two large doors that allow for different cabin arrangement solutions, the H215M is reliable, rapid, and highly manoeuvrable – backed by excellent power reserves from its two Makila 1A1 turboshaft engines.
The H215M has a rugged fuselage that includes high energy-absorbing landing gear, along with self-sealing and crashworthy fuel tanks and armouring protection.
Crashworthy seats are installed for the pilot and copilot. The fuel tanks have designed-in crash resistance, while multi-purpose air intakes for the engines provide protection against sand and icing.
The H215M’s composite main and tail rotor blades are designed for long life and protection against erosion.
Maintenance access in the field is facilitated by integrated steps, and by engine cowlings that serve as a work platform when in the open position.
