The Moon Camp Challenge is a yearly competition from January to March, jointly run by the Airbus Foundation in partnership with Autodesk, and the European Space Agency.
From November to January, the Discovery category is open to anyone! By submitting your design of a Moon Lander, Rover or Habitat, you will receive a participation certificate.
From January to May, the Explorers category is open to students up to 14 years old (included). Students will have to form teams to design their Moon Camp using Tinkercad and explain their decisions in a written report to the jury.
From January to May, the Pioneers category is open to students from 15 to 18 years old (included). Students will have to form teams to design their Moon Camp using Fusion360 and explain their decisions in a written report to the jury to get a chance to a prize.
The third edition of the Moon Camp Challenge saw a record number of participants (4,173 students from 53 countries) as teams were tasked with designing an innovative and futuristic Moon Camp to host the future space explorers.
The jury – composed of a panel of experts in 3D design, space technology and lunar exploration – evaluated entries based on their creativity and innovation, feasibility, quality of the 3D model and the adaptability of the design to the lunar environment.
