A Dual Study program is a combination of theoretical and practical education offered by a number of German universities, academies and schools. The programme allows a student to gain an element of professional work experience whilst attending a higher education establishment.
Airbus offers 45 dual study programmes. Depending on the chosen profession and location, you will complete your training at Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Airbus Defence and Space, Airbus Helicopters or at one of our subsidiaries.
The Lycée Airbus, the official corporate vocational high school, is located within one of the Airbus industrial sites in Toulouse. We train students to attain 3 professional baccalaureates: Aeronautics (with avionics, structure or systems optional courses), Machining and Sheet Metal Work.
The first two years are dedicated to school academy lessons and the third year is spent within an apprenticeship of their choice. About 15% of students have the opportunity to continue their apprenticeship studies in Aeronautical Painting (Bac +1), BTS Maintenance of Production Systems (Bac +2) in partnership with the UIMM Occitanie training center or BTS Aéronautique (Bac + 2) in partnership with the Lycée Saint-Exupéry and the UIMM Occitanie. Our training courses are free, accessible to all and recognized by the French Government.
